Easy Gingerbread Houses
  • Graham Crackers
  • Assorted candies of your choice
  • Royal Icing (see below)
    Royal Icing Ingredients
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
Have graham crackers broken into squares and candy organized and ready. Beat egg whites, water and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar. Beat until mixture forms stiff peaks. Use icing generously to cement graham cracker squares together to form 4 sided building. Use another square for roof. Allow to dry completely. (Hint: 8 oz. milk containers can be used for forms for the house.) When dry, use remaining icing to decorate with candies.
